I'm kinda happy I haven't been able to try thermal, it would ruin me for NV. Even $1400 is a tough pill for me to swallow for a mono. I'm quite happy with my NV so far.

You will be happy with your NV as long as you never try thermal. So dont,,, because you could end up in the same rabbit hole as I did. Im absolutely happy with the ones I have now,, so Im going to say the rabbit hole goes no further.

My Super Hogster scope makes me 100% happy and the AGM Taipan TM15 mono makes me 100% happy. The only thing that still isnt perfect is the head unit I bought and put together for the mono,,,,Im only 93% happy with it but it will make it to a 100 after a few more times using it and figuring out what the warmest hat/hood I can wear over it. Which isnt really an issue that I have took the time to deal with now that it has warmed up.

You need to figure out your video shit. We need more predator video's posted.

I've never seen thermal prices this low and for decent unit's, not some crap you can't see dick with.
When I started out on my thermal journey, there were hardly any choices and all of those choices were Mil hand out's and stupid expensive.
Now is the time to at least buy an AGM thermal monocular, as no matter what generation NV you have, you've been missing a lot.
Spot with the thermal and use your NV scope to seal the deal.
Just remember that after buying the monocular, your should open a savings account for a thermal scope purchase, but it's worth every penny and then some !
The TM10 is one of AGM's newest monocular offerings and is one of the most affordable priced units out there.
Don't live in the stone ages and be the only guy on the block without a thermal !!

I can guarantee I won't be trying any thermal, even if offered. No sense seeing how great the other grass is when I can't afford it. It's like me driving the car of my dreams, a 930 wide body, and I can only afford a square body chevy lol.
My NV is still light years ahead of how I was hunting before.

That's your choice, but a thermal monocular will make the odds much better in your favor and doesn't cost 1% of a 930 wide body.
A thermal monocular is also good for hunting any other warm blooded animal, security purposes, finding studs in the walls + ceilings, heat pipes in the walls + floors, weak spots in insulated areas of the house and even dead cylinders or exhaust issues in auto's too.
Fluffy got out the door accidentally at night, so before that coyote you didn't see with your NV eats it, find it with your thermal and save the day.

Not so simple. $1400 is the problem. I will admit, the price is awesome considering what you get and how far they've come. No matter how it's wrapped it's out of my budget and likely will be for 20 years. By then, it won't much matter.

Went out last night for I think the last time,,,I say I think because today is actually the last day.

First stand, as soon as we started walking out into the field to get to the place where we were going to setup, we saw a fox, who might of spotted us too being the fields were kind of lit up like daytime because of the moon.
We setup in the stand and called 2 more different foxes in. We saw 3 foxes in this field total. Oh one more thing I would suggest for fox calling. Coyote Pup distress makes a excellent call to have foxes come in. Has happened to me on more than one night that they have come into this call. Twice last night.

2nd Stand, we pulled in and started to get our shit together for the walk. Within 2 mins, before we even left the truck, coyotes started calling just down the road at my friends house,,,,,so we packed up our shit and drove down there.

3rd stand,,,,got the coyote calling to us from quite a distance into the woods. Then after awhile we got pretty tired and were about to call it quits and the Yote started calling to us from about 300 yds to our left in open fields. We couldnt see the damn thing because it was in a ravine. Finally he stopped talking and we were getting pretty tired so we ended up calling it quits.

Oh I forgot,,,,on the first stand I almost got attacked by a possum LoL. I made this lure box earlier during the day that was fan and battery operated. For the first time using it, I stuck it out in front of us about 5ft. Freaking possum came up from behind us and buddy kind of freaked and whacked me in the arm to tell me there was a possum about 1ft behind me. I turned around real quick and hissed at him. He ran about 10ft and was hiding in the bushes peeking out at us.

My last hunt in regular season on the evening of 3/27.
Got a call that some coyote killed a newborn calf at this farm the weekend before.
By the way they were moving through the herd, I could tell these coyote were experienced and were probobly the calf killers I went there to take out.
They had no fear and probably thought they were going to get another free meal that night.
The stalk started at 350+ yards away and ended with a 100 yard shot , with me standing between a s#*t spreader and some old tractor tires.

Written permission to protect the farm after 30 calves were born and a duck, a cat and a chicken were eaten in a matter of 3 days.
It was either a miss or a graze on both shots. It was kind of a hurry up give me the gun type deal because buddy using my gun and thermals couldn't see where it was when it came in.

If you watch it a couple of times,,,it looks like I hit it on both shots but obviously they were bad hits or not hits at all and just grazes.
We walked out there after the second shot and the yote was bedded down right next to the deer. It got up when we got close enough and ran into the woods.

Got a lone female while doing over watch on cows and calves early Sat Am.
This one was harassing the herd for awhile before I could bridge the distance to get a shot at it.
70 gr NBT did the job, even with the bad shot placement.
Hopefully the first of many with the Impulse Predator.

47 grains of H4350 chronod an Avg around 3,450 fps, with minimal pressure signs and no extraction issues.
It put 5 rounds into a dime at 100 yd's, So I'm good with that for now.
I'm thinking of trying out some 95 gr projos in the future, but I have hundreds of 70 grn projos to go through.
