There are also many things that people do in life and that are done to them that cause the body to not have a balanced immune response. There is more auto immune disorder/disease today than ever before. The body goes into hyper mode so to speak as a response. It doesn't learn the proper response or how to modulate things. Not related to humans but when my cat had an auto immune disease (eosinophilic granuloma) that I helped him get past last year I got into a discussion with the vet we use. She was stunned that he got well and even admitted it was nothing she had done for him and it was what I had done with him that helped his body heal. She has been in practice for over 25 years and said she sees mostly and more autoimmune disease each year that passes. Even if the rate stays the same to date the Covid is 7.3 times more lethal than the flu (including the worse years), that as we know also kills a lot of people but not as many as it can be managed via prevention programs in most recent history.

counterattack focused area with early detection, early intervention and contention that are the 3 main directives when dealing with a pandemic.

A good number for a global pandemic would be at least 2-5 % . Spanish flu was a third of the worlds population., which would put us at approximately 2.3 billion., if it puts it in perspective for you.
