I provide the CDC estimates and actuals from both diseases with links. Since the flu is a non re-portable illnesses we
have to include the CDCs estimate range and we average that.
Even if the rate stays the same to date the Covid is 7.3 times more lethal than the flu (including the worse years), that as we know also kills a lot of people but not as many as it can be managed via prevention programs in most recent history.

If you track the 7 day moving averages wold wide you will find out that this is not going to end up any time soon w/o a vaccine to
counterattack focused area with early detection, early intervention and contention that are the 3 main directives when dealing with a pandemic.
Of course herd immunity can be achieved naturally but it doesn't look that great w/o a vaccine.

When you said in a planet of 7Billion you have to use all the countries that is 1M+ deaths (Chart).
2-5% the rate like the Spanish Flu. It is obvious that if they had more preventive and treatment measures they would have used them
like better masks, retro-viral, antibiotics, ventilators so it would be impossible to say how many people would have been saved.
I don't think anybody sane could suggest, lets don't do anything until the death rate gets to x% or act like some people pretend that this
is nothing.
The key issue with covid (like any other EIDs) is not to overwhelm the hospitals and health care system so they can take care of people with early detection, early intervention and containment that has shown to be the best way to prevent a lot more people from dying like it happen the first 2-3 months in Italy, Spain, Brazil, India, etc...
And avoid sending infected people to nursing homes like the prince Cuomo did assuring a death sentence for a huge % of people in those nursing homes, specially knowing that this was the biggest problems in countries that just have suffered the same consequences.
All we had to do is to look at countries like Taiwan, south Korea that managed this the right way from day one. They were ready because
in the region they have been used to this type of thing after SARS and other EIDs.

The "cases" being tallied, supposedly in high numbers, are NOT equal to having the disease... these "cases" are "positive" tests for the virus that come from a RT-PCR protocol that is unreliable, at best.
It means one thing, and one thing only...they saw chunks of DNA on the thermocycler that were of the appropriate size. PCR was never thought to be a medium for clinical diagnosis of infectious agents - by fucking anyone...until now. And NO, it has not been improved to a point where that is routinely possible with a significant confidence in the results.
The DNA produced is NOT sequenced - it could be anything - it is just is the right size, period.
RT-PCR is NOT the "gold standard" for infection with SARS-CoV-2. Only appropriate cell culture methods can do that.
At best it is an adjunct to a real, hands-on physical exam and appropriate tests that might be helpful - like a chest X-Ray.
What MDs in this country actually do a real exam for COVID-19? Most are "telephone" diagnoses in my county. Fucking seriously??

The Spanish flu had infected one third of the global population ,33.3% . I was shooting low at 2-5% .
According to the chart you posted around 1 million deaths globally are due to covid. There are 7 billion people in the world. 1% of 7 billion is something like 70 million. We are no where near the pandemic level globally. this is like 00.7 % .
This percentage number is reflected in US deaths , 350 million people in US with your number of 356,000 dead. 1% being 35 million dead in US
And again its reflected in number of deaths in Erie County, where I live, 1.2 million people with a covid death rate of around 700. with the majority of people who died being in very poor health , the elderly.
I dont see it . I dont see a pandemic here. I dont see a reason to panic, I dont see a reason to close down the economy.
I havent worn a mask at all since the beginning, 9 months into a global pandemic and I haven't got a cold. I dont personally know anyone who has died from it .

I just flipped to NBC and they are saying to read between the lines and implying that the president has been on oxygen yesterday because the doctor said he’s not on it today. I saw the whole thing and the doctor said no. Then they said what about yesterday. Answer was no. Then they ask later what about Thursday. Answer no. They are taking one reply and spinning it out of context. If you hadn’t seen it in full you would just take one specific days reply and be misled. These people are scum.
