I like the B&W better but the green shows the cobtrast nicelyWhen you were taking the pics, did the black and white look less blurry? Posted in this thread, black and white looks less blurry.
Your eye essentially has to be on the rubber eye piece. The piece is extremely flexible and can be in conact. Not worried about a scope ring mark on this. The scope looks massive! How's your eye relief with it?
The camera focus is quite touchy. And out of the box, the focus knob is rather... difficult to turn. If you work the focus knob a lot, it does get easier. Mine is a bit better, so getting the perfect focus is much easier than it was on day 1.When you were taking the pics, did the black and white look less blurry? You sir are correct!! Going to sight it in right after the holidays then give it some good field time. You my friend, have an itchy finger.
Show some pics as soon as you test it out!
Won't work if you have poison ivy.Stop posting this shit! I have 10 itchy fingers. I'm just trying to scratch my itch by buying a couple knives.
Not yet...busy with holidays and son's wedding. Was going to sight in today but weather didnt cooperate. Soon though cause feeling the itch for yote hunting.Any update on how the scope performs? Have you used it at night yet?

In the last few days the new FLIR PTS233 thermal scope was finally released. If you are interested in thermal this is an excellent entry level model. 1.5x optical to 6x digital, boson core, and great for rifle or crossbow.
Yes, I know what you mean. But comparatively it really is entry level.Would love to have a thermal but to me 2k is not entry level,,,,I'm sure it is to some
The Pts233 is low res at 320x240 (the hi res 640 version due spring 2018). Like all thermal it cannot see through glass (this is why the thermal scope lens is not made of glass). It makes images far less natural looking than a current NVD such as a high spec PVS14. Thermal cannot be augmented with IR flashlights like a NVD can. This entry level FLIR is 1/3 less cost than a ITT PVS14, but cannot be mounted on a skull crusher or helmet. The Pts233 is a dedicated rifle scope, not a clip on. Thermal however works in broad daylight unlike nightvision.Very cool Freddy, can't wait to hear how you like it, congrats!!
Better to beg forgiveness than ask permission.Very cool pretty sure the misses will laugh her ass off if I ask for a 2k toy but it’s worth a try
While I am not a fan of that feature, the FLIR takes stills and video also. You need to get those NV scopes that records!
