Recommendations for 590 flashlight mount & flashlight

Who makes a good flashlight and mount for a Mossberg 590A1? What switch configurations are available? What type of batteries should I use? Lumen rating?

I recommend Elzetta's ZSM mount and one of their lights which come in 1,2 and 3 battery sizes but are pretty much the same besides. I think the rotary constant on-off, click momentary switch is the way to go for a defensive light.
I also think Elzetta makes the best weapon lights in the buisness and they are a bit cheaper than surefire.
Most tactical lights, including the Elzettas, require CR123 batteries.

For the fasteners on the Elzetta system; would you recommend to Loctite them once the set up is all together?

i never have had an issue and I've put at least 6 rounds through it

I've put hundreds of rounds with mine attached, no loctite, no issues.

I use the EO Tech integrated forend light on my 500. Mine is 220 lumens, and was a drop in part out of the box. I love it, wouldn't trade it for anything else that I've held.

I wanna go the other way with my 590A1, go all wood for the trenchgun aesthetic. But its hard finding wooden corncob forends.

Just shot out back and my 500 wouldn't cycle.
And rounds were freely falling in the tube.
Weird as I haven't touched it in months.
Loosened the mount and it works fine.

Went to install the second one on my 590A and there are no threads inside for the big screws. Just emailed ELZETTA to resolve.

I have a crappy flashlight that has survived. They are sending me a new mount today.

Best lights in the biz I think. I run their 1 cell Alpha light on my AR.
