Refund from gun shop if denied pistol permit?

Hi, so I live in Elmsford,NY Westchester, County. Question if my pistol permit were to get denied will the gun shop issue me a full refund for the pistol I had purchased, mines is being held at Blueline tactical.
so had told me you get half money back not sure if it’s true or how that process goes.

You will have to ask Blueline. Knowing them they will clip you for something. You know overhead and all that....

Whatever you agreed to when you bought it from blue line is what will happen. I’d assume there will be some sort of fee for holding your gun for months on end.

Thanks was just curious, still waiting on my approval letter in the mail dropped off application on July 21st of 2022, check was cashed on September 13.

Well you could always take a stab at finding someone here would want that same pistol and see if they would buy it instead, but at Blueline prices not many will be that excited . . .

It’s not a state thing , it’s a county thing. Here in Onondaga it used to be that way too. They have since dropped that bullshit rule several years ago. Unfortunately not all counties have.

Good luck. My understanding is now that Hochul is saying that you’ll have to do the new training rules just passed so you may have issues getting it approved.

Some shops that offer the required CCW training classes will give you a full refund if you are denied and have pre-purchased the firearm from the same shop as a courtesy. I will not give the name of the one that I used here, but it should be easy enough to find on the web who does this. Read the terms and conditions carefully...
