Reloading 7.5x55 Swiss (K31)

I have a K31 (as you can assume) and one of my buddies is going to be getting into reloading. Now I've read that for this particular cartridge you can run into issues with using the Hornady or Lee's dies as opposed to the Redding ones.

I also read that reloading is not worth it for this rifle as the gp11 ammo is all incredibly accurate and there's little to no savings offered by loading your own.

Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with this round and rifle as far as reloading goes.

Yeah, GP11 is excellent ammo sure but the surplus seems to have dried up. Reloading would be a great way to keep her in action while you wait for the next batch of imports to come in. Reloads will certainly out perform the PPU stuff.

I used to reload for mine but don't recall what bullet or powder I was using. The bullet ogive is quite different on Swiss ammo so pay attention so you don't run the bullet into the rifling when chambering.

Sadly gp11 is super hard to come by. And everything I've gathered even those who are tits at reloading can't seem to match the accuracy of the GP11. Also I to have a k31 that I love (shot my first deer with it 2 years ago) as well as a k11 that is sadly missing the magazine so it's a single shot gun now
