Where doesn it fit into the 700 lineup? I'm not really all that familiar with Big Greens product lineup in general. Just that the 700 and 870 are their bread and butter.
It fits in, it's just that they've made it for at least five years but it's never been catalogued on their website before, you see them as kind of a Remington 700 'bargain basement' offering at Wal-Mart and other big box stores. I have one, in .243 Win., I like it, but the included scope is junk, and the synthetic stock is too flexible. Reasonably inexpensive way to obtain a Remington 700 deer rifle, or barreled action for that matter.

Is this the one without the floor plate to unload? I have a .270 with irons and a plastic stock, matte black the whole thing. My buddy won it at a raffle got to be almost 20 years ago, I gave him $250.00 for it in the box. I use it deer hunting with the irons.
Yes, this is the ADL version, loads and unloads thru the ejection port. The 'SPS' version is the BDL style with the hinged floorplate.
Yeah, I have a .223, .308 and a .338RUM with the floor plate. I switched stocks on the the .223 and have mags for it now.
I have the ADL Synthetic in .243, and the SPS 'Buckmasters' with camo stock in 30-06. The camo stock seems to be made of a much more rigid material.
