Maybe we should stop destabilizing countries to promote regime changes. Syria was fine before we stuck our nose in. Everywhere we do that, we leave chaos, deaths and destruction.

Hezbollah was in Lebanon, before Syria became a war zone. There was nothing going on between Syria and Israel. You continuously demonstrate your ignorance and senility.

Ally is a term you need to use lightly .They have never yet fought and died along side of our soldiers in any US war ever. while the US is prepared to go to war with Iran over a threat. And do you know how Isreal is equipped with with the latest US weapons? American $$$$$$ .

In the past Hezbollah did kidnap and murdered American, Russian and other hostages. That's in addition to bombing of Marine Barracks and American embassy in Beirut.
Here is how the Russians responded in addition to threatening bombing of shiite holly sites:
"[T]he KGB kidnapped a man they knew to be a close relative of a prominent Hezbollah leader. They then castrated him and sent the severed organs to the Hezbollah official, before dispatching the unfortunate kinsman with a bullet in the brain.
In addition to presenting him with this grisly proof of their seriousness, the KGB operatives also advised the Hezbollah leader that they knew the indentities of other close relatives of his, and that he could expect more such packages if the three Soviet diplomats were not freed immediately.
Soon thereafter, the surviving three hostages were dropped off by the Soviet embassy "from a late-model BMW that couldn't drive away fast enough" and never again was a Soviet (diplomat or otherwise) kidnapped in Lebanon. As Benny Morris put it: "This is the way the Soviets operate. They do things - they don't talk. And this is the language the Hezbollah understand." Not only Hezbollah, but ISIS and every other Muslim terror group."
How to Deal With Hostage Takers: Soviet Lessons

The key word here Is Beirut. As in Beirut Lebanon. They didn't attack the Marines in San Diego.More American foreign policy failure blamed on people defending their homeland. I suppose if China set up a base outside of Richmond Virginia, people here may be inclined to wax it. the Lebanese are no threat to the US .

Fair enough, but U.S. embassy is an American soil. Even the Nazis respected diplomatic immunity.
