Results from pistol class.

I took a beginner pistol handling and safety class at Calibers down here in Greensboro, NC and this is the result.
I shot a Glock 19, S&W M&P, Springfield XD, and a HK VP9. Target was at 5 yards. The targets weren't in any particular order but each shape was shot five times.
Of the four pistols I liked the VP9 best. The Glock wasn't bad, and I didn't like the other two. As it stands right now I would buy a VP9

The range has a huge selection of pistols to rent are there any others that I should try?

All of em. PPQ, but its very, very similar the the VP9. But I would try each and every gun they have, funding permitting.
Try a CZ.

I'd like a full size for my first pistol. I am going to get three PPPs and one of them will be fore a sub compact.
Any CZ in particular?

If you are interested in fullnsize guns how bout the SP01? 18 round capacity.
I you were more interested in striker guns
I'd say the P10 but theybare not too available yet and its a compact. On that note, while I certainly understand wanting to start with a full size pistol I wouldn't dimiss the compact size. Don't let the term "Compact" fool you, the type offers a full 4 finger grip and the loss of only .5" of barrel length. Capacities are typically 15 rounds which is pretty standard for full size guns as well.

I think I'm going to try a P320 and a PPQ, I'm trying to keep the price under 600 retail.

Not surprised you liked the VP9, it's a great shooter. I've never been a fan of the paddle mag release though.

That's some pretty good shooting. A few are off target, but hey that happens.

Check out the PPQ. It's like a VP9, but for men.

PPQ offers both button and paddle. I prefer paddle.
