Because you look at it from you side?
No because I look at it from the point that there is supposedly an oath to protect and serve..
But that has been perverted into "to harass and collect"
The mad man took no such oath..

You guys are the hands and eyes of the legislature, so whatever drunken insanity they come up with, you end up being the face of the mess it makes.
If its any consolation, it happens to people in the private sector all the time too. Try being in some customer facing role and getting blamed for assinine policies that upper management creates, you'll probably find it a very familiar feeling.
The point is you want to group them all in together !
LOL, of course they get blamed for it. Its completely unreasonable to expect them to do anything about it, but they are the only one available to blame. But does the customer service rep also get blamed for not creating a situation supposedly amenable to changing policies? That's absurd.
In simple terms, when you put me in an untenable situation, do you really expect me to see your side rather than become defensive? I can't win anyway so why bother?
The only downside of dashcameras and body cameras: full enforcement.
I've been asking for a camera for years, hopefully soon I'll have one.
Although I've been the recipient of courtesy in the past multiple times , I can agree with that.If cameras end "professional courtesy" then I'm all for them. Keep it fair!

If it's fair for everyone it should eliminate rights violations. IE...illegal searches
How does observing a legitimate infraction, pulling the person over, having a decent interaction leading to a warning lead to illegal searches?
Either way professional curtesy will remain, that's something I'm not ashamed to say. Society hates cops. I get in enough trouble for nothing anyway. I'll always be willing to Steal Motorist's hard earned money for victim-less crimes.. All in the governments name.
FIFY

Thanks?
Airborne will have to write tickets to the people at Starbucks that mess up his flavored coffee. We all know sgt in Mayberry don't patrol!

No more starbucks after their refugee announcement, and black only! I've actually been meaning to make a BLC order soon.
Guy, there is a reason discretion for certain offenses are given, a 90 year old man who takes a leak on a side of building because he can't make it to bathroom shouldn't get a ticket where a health man who didn't want to be bothered to find a bathroom should. If it shouldn't be enforced 100% of the time, then it shouldn't be a law.
I realize this describes about 90% of the laws on the books anymore, but ....

Discretion is given in most laws and should be used often.
The .Gov makes to much money off of tickets.. They have turned it into an extortion business.. And the Police are the enforcers

We focus traffic enforcement on accident prone locations. There's a whole complicated system of tracking it, and cops who write summonses off those areas are monitored and counseled if their numbers get too high.
Of course none of that is true, it's all about revenue. Duh and derp and whatever else I'm supposed to say now.
