My UCAP from RMJ got here yesterday and I like it!

Now the sheath is nice but,it does have a few issues I don't like. The snap they have on it will give you a small hang up when you feed a belt though also it doesn't like belts over 1.5inches. The snap also would be easy to cut when drawing the knife.

The knife its self is great! The steel is new to me but has great reviews . It slices like a dream and while it's a thin blade (which is great for slicing and such) I wouldn't hesitate to beat on it.
I cant say much as of now since I haven't used it much. I'm not gonna say it's the greatest or the worst since I've only had it a day or less.

That's an interesting little knife. I like how the blade stock isn't overly thick, looks like a great slicer. Clip points are always cool, and useful.
What is the steel used, and may I ask how much?

Its Nitro-V stainless. It was 285. It is interesting! I'm digging it!

The blade thickness is a big plus for me. It slices much better than my other fixed blades,but I'd still baton it through any piece of wood the blade would span. I did stab it in my deck repeatedly and twisted it as I removed it and the tip looks great. Not a great or amazing thing to be able to do ,but worth mentioning.

Nitro V you say? I don't know all that much about it other than it uses nitrogen as the alloying element instead of carbon which results in exceptionally high levels of corrosion resistance. Knives intended for use in salt water environments use this steel. I've no idea as to its characteristics regarding how keen an edge it will take or how well it holds that edge.

I was reading about it a bit last night. It supposedly holds a edge and is pretty tough.

I've been using this blade for a few days and so far so good. I've used it in the kitchen a lot with no issues and I love the weight of the knife. I have started to like the sheath a bit more though.It is nice and well made. The retaining strap/snaps just bug me! I'm still gonna make a kydex sheath for it and space the rivets for a tek-lok and a spyderco g clip.
