Not all of blm is race, obviously, given that they want a black mayor and police chief to resign (unlikely they hate black people). Much of it is, though. blm reserves their most heated rage for white people. A meaningful number of blacks are profoundly racist in ways whites have not been for a very long time (and those whites who are similarly racist have gone off into dark corners, so are rarely heard from). They have been regaled with stories of white oppression since childhood and they want back at people who died a century ago. But, since those people are dead, they use contemporary whites as a stand in for their anger.

I have heard rumors from a completely different source than online that a lot of cops in Rochester are talking about ignoring crimes unless unavoidable; giving less in the way of traffic stops, looking the other way, etc. This is reasonable given the current environment.
This is already happening all around the Country. I know a lot of coppers, not just in my area. I know officers in many places around the US and this is the thought of many. I would say most.
That is perfectly reasonable. Any interaction with a black citizen can lead to another press debacle. Government has shown they are very willing to throw cops under the bus before all the facts are in. Who wants to be the next cop villified by the press?
