Where is Bud's? I checked the Gander Mountain website but they are toast now due to the bankruptcy. The website is basically a holding spot. Locally I have Herb Philippsons, Second Amendment Arms, and Bare Arms. I should check and see if those smaller places have websites. Do I want both cylinders (22 LR and 22 Magnum) or just the 22 Magnum? I guess I want both, huh? I use a Marlin 870V for plinking with a rifle. I think I have a Leupold Rifleman or something lower level on it. Honestly it's dialed for 100 and I haven't even tried 200 with 22 LR. I figured it wouldn't reach that far.

I had skipped over Chiappa because I had never heard of them. Is their stuff good? For rimfire pistols; do we have to go through putting them on our CCW?

They're great. Customer service was 2 week turnaround with no bullshit excuses too. I own 3 Chiappas all of them get hundreds of hundreds of rounds through them monthly.

But do I have to buy them, wait and get over to the Sheriff Office, change the CCW card, etc? Or are 22LR not covered by those CCW laws? I'm so tired of going down to the Sheriff Office. Always a line, only open certain days, etc. Pain in the butt.

Mine went out and came back same serial number so nothing you would need to change if that's what you mean?? I would guess if you're firearm was completely broken beyond repair and any company you have ships you a completely new firearm you may have to..but even then they usually engrave the same serial number of the busted one on a new factory one..at least that's what Taurus did for me one time.

If I understand you correctly, you are asking if you need to amend your pistol permit for rimfire hand guns. If that is what you asking then yes you absolutely have to add them to your permit. Any handgun in NY needs to go on your permit.
