Not really in the market for another pistol, but I could see matching this up with my Ruger PCC ( I was really hoping Ruger would come out with a mag-well adapter for the M&P ) this would be a reasonable pairing. Something to think about.

I thought I recall seeing some aftermarket magwell mod that takes M&P mags. Personally I left the Glock magwell installed. I finally have a Glock 19 (won it in a raffle this year), though haven't fired it yet. It's not MOS but didn't want to spend to have it milled yet. I'm more invested in M&Ps at the moment - really drawn to that Carry Comp but no 10-round version yet..
I'm getting email offers about the RXM, but at $400 I personally don't think it's worth it unless reviews are raving. I'm not the expert but a slight premium over a Dagger isn't unreasonable. At PSA I'm seeing a PSA Dagger Full Size with optic cut, threaded barrel and 10-17rnd mags for $430... I mean damn that seems like a deal, if it's reliable. (the compact is $420, nice - and includes (5) 27-rnd mags / (5) 15-rnd mags... some day NY.. some day...)
So I brought the Ruger out to the range today and shot a little more than 100 rounds of super vel certified Select target rounds through it.
I shot it at 15, 10 and 5 yards. At both 10 and 15 yards it shot low. 5 yards was not too bad.
I will be grabbing a red dot to slap on it and see how it fares.

Red dot installed. Range report this afternoon.
Zeroed at 10 yards with the super vel 115 Target select. Then shot it at 15,10 and, 5 yards. Then switched to Winchester 115 Grain JHP Defender. The gun performed flawlessly with both the target select and defender ammo.

Overall impression: it is a good little gun. Pleasant to shoot, not snappy at all. I would not feel uncomfortable relying on it for self defense, now that it has a red dot on it.

Started to watch TRex Arm's take on it yesterday -
Dude recommends putting a 1000 rounds before you carry it? That is a little much, most people won’t put a 1000 rounds through a pistol in it’s lifetime.

Personally I go for 500 rounds of FMJ, and at least 50 rounds of HP before I "trust" something to carry. But I also stick to the big names - Smith & Wesson (Shield and 2.0 Compact), SIG 365XL. 1,000 is a bit much but it is a newer model.
I have got a couple hundred through this including about 35 JHPs with no hiccups. I would carry this gun.

i never thought 1k was all that much. It’s basically 2 range trips. Only takes an hour to go thru 300 rounds so that’s about 1.5 hours.
For gun enthusiast it is an average day of training. For the average gun owner, it is an extreme amount when you consider most people will never shoot more than 2000 rounds through any gun they own.
If I have to fire 1000 rounds through through a gun before I can trust it, I will get rid of it in a heartbeat.

Lucas mentioned this too in the video - he tried to say it without saying it.. but Ruger's customer base tends to be on the older side.. some of whom wouldn't necessarily own a Glock. But a Ruger-made Glock...
I don't know if I'd agree with that 100%, there are plenty of older shooters who have embraced Glock or S&W modern polymer pistols for decades.. but it's an interesting point.
IMO if you buy a reputable gun, put it through its initial break in period of I dunno say 200 rounds and things are running correctly I would carry it.
If the break in doesn't go smoothly and lots of malfunctions then need to reevaluate.

I find that so weird. Why buy something that you barely ever will use? All my vehicles I average 15-20k miles a year on. I find it amazing that someone can’t find 2 days a year to spend 3-4 hours total at the range. If I buy something I fully intend to use it and get my moneys worth out of it. Otherwise I sell it and get something else I will use.
How many hunters do you know? Most I know will put 6 rounds down range and maybe 1 or two in a deer ever year. I know plenty of people who own a handgun for “protection,” they shot it at the range when they bought it, cleaned it, loaded it up and put it in a drawer 20 years ago.
The gun community is not really a community at all. There are competition shooters, gun enthusiast, gun collectors and gun owners. Not a lot of gun owners put hundreds of rounds down range on a weekly, monthly or yearly basis.

Any gotcha's/issues doing the RMR mount of the Holoson? Did you need an adapter for the Holoson 207?
507K mounts right to the slide with the pins supplied.

I have several guns that I've bought and never sent one round through them yet. I have others that came from my dad and grandfather that are used but never by me. Then there are dozens of others that just haven't been shot in a decade or two because I've just bought something new so the old sits in the rear of the safe.

1st range report. 1st 100 hundred rounds of 115 and 124 CCI blazer. No malfunctions and it ran flawless. Used a mix of OEM Pmags and Gen 5 G19 mags. Sights are what I would call a combat hood with front sight covering the target. Fired as fast as I could pull the trigger. Distance of 7 yards.
Very enjoyable to shoot.
Nice single shot at 4oclock with the desert eagle.
