That said, this is "NY" so I no longer underestimate the sheer stupidity that exists here with our Representatives!
But bring it... I'd like to see this State get fast tracked to the SCOTUS, it's just a smidgeon away...

He's gotten away with Constitution violations...what makes this any different...very simple example for head banging....crap act stated no more than 7 round mag...that was changed to 10 because "7" was arbitrary....well.....10 is also an arbitrary number..so we eat it

This is why we need to make sure the Princess is voted out of office in 2018! We also have to get people into office who are actually for all of our liberties. People who are willing to read a budget, ask where the funding for the unSAFE act is, and not lie saying there is no funding in the budget. We can win this state back, we can win our liberties back. Trump is not going to help us, nor will any national level politician. They do not have the power to do so, if they state they do, I do not want an authoritarian.

I don't know what to say. Something like the insurance issue would be impossible to bypass for people with pistol permits because that's right where they would go. If something like this were to pass, my only hope would be that it would be the straw that broke the camel's back.
All these add-ons that keep making it more and more expensive to be a gun owner in this state is exactly what they're going for. It's discriminatory against the poor and the middle class because the poor simply can't afford it at all, and the middle class are already stretched to their limits.
And once again, how many criminals are going to go out and get themselves gun owners insurance before committing a crime? So what does this do except burden the law-abiding even further?

Id love to see the insurance reg stand up in court. Would the governor even want the SCOTUS scrutiny applied to his BS law. If it did pass that would literally be the straw that broke my family's back, we would leave NY. It pains me to say that because our roots are so deep here but we are already suffering so many infringements,top taxes in the country, no jobs, etc etc etc. I know they say the grass is greener on the other side but, damn!, NY has become the highest taxed state with the least amount of freedom. We have to scratch and claw for Uber for fucks sake!

How? They don't offer gun liability insurance, no one offers this kind of insurance. How can they pass a law that is impossible to live up to.

The same way they said you cannot have a magazine capable of holding more than 7 rounds. They don't care if it is available. That is their hope. No different than the lunatic proposal of no more than twice what your firearm holds every 90 days. My .308 Savage holds 5. That would be 10 every 90 days. Nobody makes a 10 round box of ammo. My 1911 holds 7. Again, no 14 round boxes of .45 available. They will pass it and let you go broke trying to fight it in court.
Don't waste too much of your brain energy on this subject. Seriously.
