Pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns....everything.

Especially hunting rifles and shotguns. Let FUDDS like Tom King and his ilk feel the pain the rest of the firearms community in NY feel because we want to own modern technology.

The difference between keeping it in the back of the closet in hiding so as to avoid the police and throwing a bolt through the magazine release hole so as to avoid the police is the exact same.

One can argue that the guy who throws the mag lock on to go out in public is taking more risk than the one who hides it in their closet to never see the light of day except to perhaps shoot it on private land where the chance of running into a cop is nil.

When you see people going to public ranges and or hunting on State land with full featured AR's, then they are not capitulating.

In laymen's terms, "Do it in front of a " if you do not want to comply. No retreat, no surrender.

Kind of like a guy who is scared of flying in an airplane, challenging others to make a parachute jump.
Lots of people shoot non-compliant rifles, they just don't announce it on public forums or do it in front of the cops they don't know.
Only a handful were arrested for violating SAFE. If a few people die in car accidents, doesn't mean others will stop driving. Taking risks is a part of living.

My guess is he's at a top level secret squirrel meeting with ALL the power brokers in NY Pro-Gun politics... Bombardo (aka "Shooter"), Tresmond, Tom King, Representatives from SCOPE, Wayne LaPierre, NYS Senator Pat "Thief" Gallivan and the ghost of Bill Nojay putting the finishing touches on their master plan to restore ALL of our 2nd Amendment rights.

...or, John Stark may have slunk off into the sunset secure in the knowledge that HIS way is best and the rest of the great unwashed are not worthy of his brilliance.

Either way....keep the faith and keep your checkbook in your pocket.

When guns are outlawed, then only outlaws will have guns.
You can introduce and pass all the gun bans you want. Blame the weapon/tool.
You want gun control? What about people control? How do you control intent? If someone intends on hurting/killing another, there's nothing you can do about it.
You gave us unSAFE act. The NY gun community found ways around it.
You banned semi-auto rifles w/pistol grips. We just change the style, ergonomics of the lower receiver.
You banned online purchases of ammo. We just get it out of state. (and cheaper)
You limit us to 10rd magazines. We just carry extra mags.

I don't consider this winning. They're laughing at us.

I have to be honest, the more I think about it, It would help our cause if the commies stopped pussyfooting around and tried to ban all guns in this God forsaken state.

They are trying and unfortunately have been relatively successful in incrementally stripping us of our 2nd amendment right. They are taking us (gun owners) out one sub group at a time.

The best thing that could happen is enrage all gun owners, the FUDDs, ONCE a year Hunter guy, the cigar chewing skeet shooting lawyers etc... We all have to unite in collective anger and push back. What we have been doing apparently isn't a loud enough voice on our own and the downstate socialists are good at crunching numbers and demographic ststistics and they realize they will continue to get re elected no matter how angry we are. Even worse is many on our side "go galt" pack up and leave the state and taking their opposition with him/her leaving one less voice for us all the while the socialists keep bringing in more dependent on the system who will continue to vote them in forever.

In practical applicatio it's not about what's right or wrong, or what's constitutional or not it's about who is in power and making the rules and that comes down to a numbers game.

We need more numbers on our side.
