They already raised the fees or already update the state database?
How would the county even know that you re-certified?
I'm not familiar with the process between the county and the state yet.

My concern is that the next go round it will be more intrusive. This time to make us comply with the least amount of gripping and to get it launched they did not ask many questions. My guess is that next time it will be much more comprehensive. Can you say "invasive". Oh well we just have to put up with this bull. There is no way out so long as Cuomo is in the saddle. And the NYSP are glad to do his bidding so long as they get money.....

SP told me they are up to over 100,000 recerts. They said if you recertify online, you do not get anything in the mail, you need to check the site to see if it was approved/processed.

Paloma said don't wait. .. Perhaps there is an issue that needs to be addressed .. Say a wrong serial number or worse . You may have to have a lawyer handle a mix up . The last day will be way too late to straighten up a problem . Perhaps you got into a bar fight 5 years after you received your permit and now the local judge 20 years later wants to rethink your permit. . Or you had a situation with your ex 10 years ago and for some reason it was never cleared up in the courthouse folder and there is conflicting information..

There's no requirement other than as per law, December 31, and postmarked December 31 is as good as today. Any administrative errors or other issue does not invalidate my registered firearms. Didn't the DC Circuit court rule that re-registration of firearms was illegal? What ever happened to the Sullivan lawsuit? A permit to touch a handgun doesn't violate Heller? Ugh, this state is a sewer. Where is Trump to save the day???

It's kind of hard not to when there are law enforcement officers ready and willing to enforce those laws. Had they taken a stand in non enforcement however, we'd be able to Molon labe and all that.
The thing is, most of us aren't going to lose our jobs, homes, and children for a pistol grip. We will keep them buried somewhere and continue putting food in our kid's mouths. To do otherwise and walk out in public with the banned item is just plain stupid.
