Ohhhh so misguided. I'm a shareholder in many, many corporations. No, they do not speak for me. They are governed by the majority shareholder. The Waltons for instance, are not having their corporate policies, corporate direction or politics dictated by the shareholders.
Don't think for one minute Amazon shareholders tell Jeff Bezos how to direct his company.

We're all along for the ride. Like it or not. They let us vote by proxy for the corporate BoD's, the public accounting firm, executive compensation, etc, just to give us the illusion that we have a say.
Minority shareholders don't band together to have their votes become meaningful. Just think, illusion, the matrix, dog and pony show, then it should become very obvious.
