RIP Savage Arms
It’s not goodbye, at all. This was a management buyout by the people who run Savage today. They will do their best with the brand.
The article says it’s an investment group headed by Current CEO Al Kasper. I’ll retract my statement for now. We shall see.
Wish I had already bought all the Savage firearms I wanted. Going forward I'll be suspicious.
As said, still headed by the CEO of Savage, so I don't think they're going anywhere anytime soon.
So this could end up being an employee owned company? If so that's not a bad thing at all.
I would be worried if the group that currently owns Big Green had bought them, but to me, it sounds like the people responsible for making a great product just bought the company. I wish them well.
I learned to shoot on a Savage. Hopefully this is a good move for them that makes them a stronger company.
Maybe they should move out of Massachusetts?
Sounds like Savage will be in good hands, quite possibly better than those at Vista Outdoor.
