Savage M10 Stealth Evolution - Which caliber ?

So, the big gap in my (otherwise pretty darn extensive) firearms knowledge and training has always been long range rifle. It's not something I've ever had the facility and/or equipment to even try really. I don't recall ever having fired many rounds at a target at greater than 300 yards (maybe just once or twice many many years ago), and 95% of my training/shooting/etc has been within a 100yd max. (I'm mostly a pistol shooter anyway)

Anyway, so I was looking at the gun giveaways online and entered this one Gun And Gear Giveaway
(which is still open for 22 days for you folks to enter)

In the rules it says "Available chambered in .223 Rem., 6mm Creedmoor, 6.5mm Creedmoor or .308 Win. (all priced at $1,799), the winner can choose the caliber."

Of course I don't expect to win or anything, but it made me think about how if I did then I wouldn't know which to pick. I'm quite familiar with both .223 and .308 for 'Battle Rifle" ranges, but not with long range performance. As for 6mm and 6.5mm Creedmoor, I know barely anything about them.

So, my question to those members more familiar with long range stuff , which of those four calibers would you pick, specifically for this rifle, and why ?

Long range, lighter round than 6.5 creedmoor,,,,I would go with 6 creedmoor. Thats just from the research Ive done lately. Only thing that tilts me to 6.5 over 6 is the availability and cost of manufactured ammo. Either caliber will be accurate long range.

To help you make a choice,,,,go on Midway,,,pull up each individual caliber in manufactured ammo and look at their BC ratings. Then go on wiki and pull up each individual caliber and look at the velocity. Velocity and BC makes for a good long range round.

Shooting out to 300 yards max? Definitely 223.
What is the twist for the .223 barrel? If you can stabilize the heavier bullets the 77gr and 75gr bullets shoot very well and can get you past 300 yards should you ever have the opportunity.
For 300 and in on a calm day 55gr work beautifully.

With my intro bit here, I may have accidentally made it sound like I was setting some parameters that I didn't intend. All I really intended to say there was that I don't know much about long range shooting.

I'm not looking for any answers specifically for me , just rather if any of YOU were to win this setup then what caliber would you choose and why. That could be dependent on what specifically you'd do with it, price factors, whatever.

I meant it just as an open caliber discussion when you have a specific setup to relate it to with this rifle and scope.

Oh. Proly still .223 for me, but maybe .308
I like common and cheap calibers.

.308 for me, I'm not into reloading so I can pick up all the ammo I need locally.

I don’t reload, 6.5cm or 308. No order but I would look to see if you can find 6.5cm ammo
