not having any formal "combat" training the first thing im doing is moving those desks in front of windows, or having co workers move them while i cover entrance to your room. i might have missed it in the thread but is it a plausable to jump out those windows without life threatening injury? if so that gives you an escape hopefully without confrontation. Second plan would be to cover entrance of your work space until target presented itself and engage, or until target cleared and make a run for the doors near "the new work bench"

Windows are on ground floor and lead to the parking lot. A lot of forestry and vehicles to hide behind.

the stress levels in an encounter like this would be through the roof so unless you specifically train under stress induced environment it would be very hard to manage the adrenaline dump. The instructor at the last handgun class i took put just a tiny bit of pressure on the students (timer and calling out misses) and alot of them needed multiple shots to hit a target at 7 yds

I don't know whos out there, I don't know what they have, or where they are . the hallway as we can see is a kill zone ( for slackers who were not not working anyway.) If the windows are an option (meaning your not on the 6th floor of the schoolbook depository), that would be the best possible option . Running across the hallway with that many unknowns is most likely going to get you the cover if not the centerfold in Today's Modern Victim magazine. I have distinctly heard different and multiple gunshots , Im freaking out . Im not looking to be a hero, Im looking to win, or get the fuck out. My best possible chance I believe is to create a little space, move to the rear of the cubicle (/office?) directly behind mine createing a nice fatal funnel (cake), take up a good PRONE firing position partially behind the wall and use a chair directly in front of me as concealment so I can see his feet with out him seeing me .Then I would either jump double spin kick and kung fu kick him or just shoot through the back of the chair . After Im sure he has entered Valhalla, by either checking his pulse, or continuing to fire multiple rounds into his head..... I think maybe fireing more rounds into his head . I would reload or top off my mag, listen , distant shots may mean I may make a move on the bad guy or depending on my mood bolt for the door . Then again, I might double back to make sure my boss wasn't OK.
