Occlusive dressings
14GA IV catheter for decompression
Assorted other medical shit.

- 2 pistol mag holders (or additional 2 AR mag holsters, depending on configuration)
- Tourniquet holster
- Large Med pouch mounted in the rear with quick release (easy access for me or person behind me - I am a Paramedic by trade)
- clip for gloves (Vertx or Mechanic)
Before anyone asks what's in my med pouch.

IMHO depends on intended use. Gonna use it to LARP at the range? Or is this for a serious SHTF, ceramic plates, mob is coming down the street type of event.

Honestly IMO if you are going to go the budget route you're probably better off with something like a condor mopc. It's not Gucci and about as cheap as you can get away with. At least that has a track record. I would trust condor over some random Chinese company. My luck I would buy the Chinese quick release plate carrier you linked and it would develop a nasty habit of failing and self releasing the cumberbund at an inopportune moment. For that reason alone just not having confidence in it to do its job I couldn't use it for anything more than airsoft.

Keep the minimal amount of crap that you NEED on the belt.
My patrol duty belt has different equipment than my special assignments belt than my "battle belt" but the basics are the same.
Safariland holster (6360), double pistol mag pouch, single AR mag pouch, TQ and pouch. In my particular instance, I also carry 2 sets of cuffs on the duty and SA belt.
I have some random shit laying around so feel free to PM me and I can send whatever can help your way.

Few main things since I originally saw this post.
1) what are your main needs. Is it just something while at the range and have some fun.. if so go for the bare minimum no need to complicate it.. or do you plan on having this be more of an actual 1st line gear.
2) no need to get everything all at once, I've been working on my belt set up for about a year and a half maybe 2 years.
I went more with the LaRpInG/1st line gear than just at the range shooting paper set up
So we will go from left to right.
2 pistol mag pouches (Esstac Kywi, somehow got them in m81 not multicam but it's fine)
1 single 5.56 pouch (Esstac Kywi) mounted below that is the Kinetic Consulting/Flatline Fiber Co dump pouch (dump pouch personal is not actually needed outside of the range but with the design of this dump pouch it actually doesn't take up any actual real-estate so I have it on there)
next is the Spiritus Systems JSAT Pouch. Which is a medium(ish) generally purpose pouch but also has the ability to carry another rifle (or two pistol) mags. Like the dump pouch for me it's all about maximizing the limited space I have available to me, in the pouch I plan on having some useful stuff like compas and or GPS, write in rain notebook and pen, water filtration system, fire starter, chem lights, batteries, multitool and anything else I may want to add or remove depending.
Going down the line we have IFAK (Blue Force Gear) because well you should have medical on you..
Next is my Safariland 6390rds. Personally if it's for anything outside of a flat range you should have some active retention
Then lastly I have another small GP pouch that I uses as my BooBoo pouch... bandaids neosporin, Ibuprofen/Tylenol and other small first aid stuff, no need to bust out the full on trauma kit for a small paper cut, but also no need to die from an infected small paper cut because all you have is a trauma kit
I still plan to add a knife (between ifak and holster) probably an Esee 5 or 6 and another TQ mounted to the front of the holster..

Another little think to think about.. if your belt has a cobra buckle here is a great way to store it without taking up much room in a closet or something

After seeing that post here on the bandolier battle belt I wanted that but it was pricey for me. I started looking for a used wide padded belt and found one in Fort Drum. Asked a friend who is stationed up there if he could pick it up for me. He told me no!
He had one that had been to Afghanistan a couple times that he would give. I like free!
I watched some videos on mag pouches and one kind stood out for being good for inverted retention. Esstac’s Kiwi Shorty!
$120 later I have 3 rifle and 2 pistol pouches and the free belt. Rifle pouches ride lower along the body with pistol mags just below the shoulder.
I like it!
I do have a cobra belt buckle I can put on this but is it that much better than the big hd plastic snap in buckle that is on it now? It will stay buckled and just thrown on over the head.

If it's a real cobra buckle one advantage (if you care) is that it will be load bearing rated

I have discussing the need for one for quite some time. Not sure of I need one or is it just I want one?
To be honest a belt setup like you have pictured is the standard belt setup that a lot of people run these days. A belt like this works well for range, training and competition. For SHTF is would be fine too but that kind of belt uses an inner velcro belt that is run through the belt loops of the pants and the outer belt with the buckle and all the stuffs is velcrod and buckled around it. That is very convenient as you can have the belt setup up ahead of time, toss it in the trunk, drive to wherever and slap the belt on quickly when needed and quickly removed again when you are done with it. They also typically conceal reasonably well under a medium to heavy jacket or coat. A belt like that would typically be run along with a plate carrier or a chest rig. The belt carried what are considered your "first line" items that is those items that you would want for immediate access, you would do your reloads from your belt first. The belt can be used on its own without any additional load bearing equipment also. As for setups and holsters and such, I really prefer to keep things as simple as possible. I don't like drop down holsters nor thigh straps, a holster mounted higher up will make for a slightly slower draw but is also less in the way if you maneuvering around obstacles. Note how law enforcement typically mounts the duty holster higher up with no straps.
I also prefer attachments that are as implemented as possible, I like simple loops and clips that slide over the outer belt as opposed to MOLLE that needs to be weaved on. MOLLE is more secure but is a PITA if you change things around. I am also a big fan of the Tek-Lok attachments for holsters due to tge high levels of adjustability they offer. For pouches I really like Blue Force Gear Speed Ten pouches and Esstac Kiwi pouches. The Speed Ten pouches are elastic, super low profile and very simple, they hold tge magazines very securely and are perfectly flat when empty. The only drawback is it is difficult to insert magazines into them with gloved hands.
Another peice of gear I like is the IC13 INVRT Bandoleer.

@Podmonkey if you like the BFG pouches you should check out the Defense Mechanisms pouches.. they are designed in a way to not have a kydex insert so they lay flat when empty but also retain their shape better so you can reindex magazines with ease.. they also have built in One Wrap for a secure but easy mounting solution.
I plan on eventually swapping my 2 pistol mag pouches and single rifle pouch over to theirs. But since the Kywis are amazing I am in no real rush to just buy something new when I don't have a need
