School me on the sig legion .. Thinking about adding a sig 229 . carry

Folks I am leaning on a Sig 229 for my next handgun. Never shot one. I do own a few P320's
Would a legion be worth it ? Not flush with money but willing to work some extra hours if I have to . I do love my p320. Perhaps a 229 would also be a good addition.
I see if I get a 357 a barrel swap to .40 is all that would be needed. .. Was not aware of that. Just thinking if SHTF rolls around this might be a bit more reliable than a P320 or even my VP9 ..
I can get this in a 229 with 10 round mags... below..... Price is a bit high perhaps ?

Perhaps I should go with just a standard config..

What's your thoughts on on a DA/SA trigger? That was always a non starter for me. And I do own a Leigon 226 but with the SAO trigger.

It's really not possible for one person to determine for another if something is "worth" it. That said I did own a P226 Legion once and I regret selling it. I think it is fair to say that if one were to add the various features of the Legion models onto a standard model you would likely end up spending more. Things like the extensive checkering on the front and rear strap and the generous undercut on the guard (very similar to the P320) are nice additions as are the excellent X-Ray night sights. The trigger is smoothed over and the G10 prip panels feel nice and have an aggressive texture. The overall color scheme is attractive as well. On the downside I was not a fan of the reduced slide stop and decocker. The slide stop in particular is uncomfortable to use and becomes even more so with repeated use.
Ultimately I do think you get your money's worth with the P226/229 models so if you can reasonably afford to I see no reason not to save up the funds for one.

Though I would try to get accustomed to this type of trigger. This does not have to be my carry gun. I have several different choices.
I have a VP9 and a VP9sk for example. .... It is a bit like driving a car. Know how to shift on the column, floor and use an automatic. is beneficial .... So with different types of guns.
Several folks say the 226,229 is a good ...Go to war/SHTF type gun. Reliable in harsh conditions. Who knows what is in store in our future

You are going to love the 229. If you want to have a real SHTF handgun go with the Sig 228!

I have the SIG229 Legion .357Sig, you'll love it! Best gun I shoot, and is a joy!

I have the 229 elite dark, same thing sa/da. Dunno if the elite and elite “dark” has the same sights but the adjustable sights that came in mine are shieet, changed mine to dawson precisions. Aside from the sights, i love it!
