He (shooter) had 58 disciplinary actions against him but the obummer legislation kept the info in school rather than escalate to a higher level.

So there is already conflicting reports on the guns used, from what I've seen. A few articles seem to be erroneously claiming the gunman had an AR-15, likely to bastardize the platform, even though most accounts are claiming he only used a revolver and shotgun. These people are itching to blame the AR-15 again.

After taking defensive and combat shotgun courses, I was really struck by the destructive power of a shotgun at short range. Given that the murderer was unopposed, his shotgun attack could have killed many more than if he'd had a .223 caliber MSR.
Once more: It is not the tool, it is the criminal that is the problem.

I also heard that the shooter had a trench coat or something like that on in the Texas heat. Should have raised suspicions.
Back to the issue of all 9 officers being in the same location. If we go and look at Israeli airport security where they watch and have no checkpoints to stop people and just stop those who are seen as suspicious. They are trained in psychology to make those determinations and their security is top notch.
