Schumer And Leadership Team Refuse To Meet With Gorsuch

WASHINGTON — Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and other Democratic Senate leaders refused to meet with Judge Neil Gorsuch Thursday.

The act appears to be revenge against Republicans for holding the seat of the late Justice Antonin Scalia open and not holding a hearing for Obama Supreme Court appointee Merrick Garland.

The White House requested that Gorsuch meet with Schumer, but aides said he declined in order to learn more about the nominee’s record, The Washington Post reported.

This is true and important. I'd publicly and politely request schmucky and crew to meet with Gorsuch again making it clear that their belligerence is beneath the conduct of the Senate. If they continue to act like children I (in this case McConnell) would immediately call a vote and if necessary go nuclear. No waiting for normal time table. Eff them. Gorsuch would be sitting by end of February.

I have no doubt that either Ginsburg, Kennedy and Breyer are not going to survive the next 4 years......LET ME PERFECTLY CLEAR HERE: I wish no ill will to anyone, but at their age all three maybe forced out by either health or simply by retirement.

Schumer should allow Gorsuch to move forward, THIS is not the battle he wants to fight. THE NEXT justice is the one he should be fighting for. But if he wants to expend "favors" now, thats cool.

Lets look at the confirmation process . Justice Thomas was raked over the coals for "misbehaving". Gorsuch is squeaky clean and very well qualified. He will be confirmed regardless of the games schumer plays

The only thing schumer will do fighting Gorsuch confirmation, will be to show the country what kind of whinny pussy's the democratic party is.

The next justice is going to be the important one. But schumer is to butt hurt to see whats going on.

Gorsuch is a replacement for Scalia, one we hope is half as good. Chuck should save his butt hurt till Trump is replacing one of the lefties. The absolute best case from Gorsuch is that the court doesn't move to the left, Schemer is not losing anything by the appointment of Gorsuch.

I don't think thats going to happen. Even if Chucky could convert a couple RINO'S there is still a majority that will vote the party line. Schumer is making a serious tactical mistake by holding up this nomination. In three or four years, this may bite him in the ass

it seems to me, the liberals are doing things on an emotional basis and on things "that might happen"

for example, they're worried that a Gorsuch vote (if confirmed) could overturn Roe v Wade. Last I checked, R v W is settled law and is very unlikely to be revisited by the court.

So far, everything the left is doing, the protests, the flailing of arms and all the butt hurt is based and shit that 'could happen someday'

They are literally showing the world what 'immature butt hurt" looks like, and quite frankly, it's embarrassing them
