Scope in the $500-$700 range.....

I could not pass on the Savage savage 10 fcp-sr deal. The rebate sealed the deal. I want to get glass in the 4-12 or 4-16 range. I'm leaning towards this Vortex:

I don't think that is a first focal plane reticle. If I was going to spent that kind of money I would want FFP scope.

Are there any options you are looking for in a scope? it is a second focal plane scope but it is mrad/mrad and also has a zero stop.

$900 is the new $700. Small price to pay for exactly what you need/want.

I looked for a long time to get ffp mil with a reticle i liked. Bushnell seems to be the only one that has that without costing and entire arm.

Now you see why i run the bushnell? Almost everything i want.....as much as i want zero atop i can live without it.

I like the new us optics ffp mil with zero stops too.....

This is a better scope on that budget with a first focal plane.
These are on sale at Natchezss and possibly one of the best deals if not the best.

The 4-20x50 is $699 at natchez. These track to the T and like the above they are rugged for heavy duty.

This one is Army Mil-Dot. Mil-Mil no illumination but more high end magniication.

These do not have zero stop but you don't really need it. It is hard to say vs. the
also awesome Viper PST FFP mrad. We all have different set of eyes so opinions are arbitrary.
See if you can look though them. I think the PST FFP gives a bit more on features but
not better in glass or construction. The weavers now on sale are also $100-$250 less than
comparable scopes.
