He is correct though. Cops have no duty to act.

They can fill out the paperwork after the bad guy kills you. They have no duty to save you. And yet the libtards want to disarm the population and create these "gun free" zones.

Stop blaming the wrong people for these crimes.



Now that all that is out of the way, this man is a disgrace and a coward. I hate spineless people and he is near the top of the list!

Sorry, and where exactly did I blame anybody for anything? My point (for the third time) is "Shall Not Be Infringed"!!! I don't expect LEO should (or more to the point, would) defend me or my family. Never did (and I have family that are/were LEO).

Best thing that comes out of this, is that people wake up and realize the police are not your personal bodyguards. They have no obligation to protect you unless a special relationship is established ie a protective detail is ordered.
Perhaps this could finally change the minds of people who think otherwise.

Understand all this. The guy in video above said it best if the government is disarming the people (eg in this case, as in many others before it, within a "Gun Free Zone") the government SHOULD have a duty to defend the people. They obviously dont and LEO should not be expected to be everywhere at all times. The answer seems obvious (well to me anyway)... SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED...

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A judge has rejected a deputy’s claim that he had no duty to confront the gunman during the school shooting in Parkland, Florida.

Refusing to dismiss a lawsuit filed by the parent of a victim, Broward Circuit Judge Patti Englander Henning found after a hearing Wednesday that ex-deputy Scot Peterson did have a duty to protect those inside the school where 17 people died and 17 were wounded on Feb. 14. Video and other evidence shows Peterson, the only armed officer at the school, remained outside while shots rang out.

The negligence lawsuit was filed by Andrew Pollack, whose daughter Meadow was killed. He said it made no sense for Peterson’s attorneys to argue that a sworn law enforcement officer with a badge and a gun had no requirement to go inside.


“Then what is he doing there?” Pollack said after the ruling. “He had a duty. I’m not going to let this go. My daughter, her death is not going to be in vain.”

Peterson attorney Michael Piper said he understands that people might be offended or outraged at his client’s defense, but he argued that as a matter of law, the deputy had no duty to confront the shooter. Peterson did not attend the hearing.

Interesting so he ignoring SCOTUS ruling ... whats new. I would argue if you I'm not permitted to carry and protect myself the your dam strait police have a duty to do so. The state should be held legally and financially responsible for every victim of violent crime who has ever been denied the right to carry. Thats my penny and a half. you bet your ass thats why i applied efor carry even though i was denied. If ever attached and survive i'll sue the fuck out of the county.

The worst part is that once this goes through this court then the appeals process. The deputy will eventually win Then the father will be handed the bill for the deputies attorneys fees and court costs

Two key SCOTUS rulings confirming that police have no duty to protect. What I don't understand is why these cases aren't cited by 2A supporters as a reason why the "shall not be infringed" clause should be upheld in all cases.
