I'm pretty sure most people would have a problem with "In God we trust" too if it wasn't in English.Until these people would have no problem with "Allahu Akbar" on their currency , their opinion is irrelevant.
It has no place and that's probably why it wasn't on there in the first place.
Breitbart comments are always the source of much wacky hilarity though.
Well adding it supplanted the long tradition on it not being there, so...I'm pretty sure most people would have a problem with "In God we trust" too if it wasn't in English.
I doubt you would get much pushback against "God is great" if it wasn't trying to supplant a long standing traditional phrase.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;"
Not remotely the same thingWell adding it supplanted the long tradition on it not being there, so...
And if our national culture were in danger of being supplanted by the Romans I am sure that would have been be a problem. And E Pluribus Unim isn't exactly English either...
But certainly prohibits the free exercise of. I don't trust in God, yet am forced to use money saying that? Nah. I'll passNo law established a religion.

I get that, it's not like we burst into flames if we touch it, but when they come up with their next anti counterfeiting idiocy, just leave it off, as intended.I get ya. And even agree. However, that shit was decided when a lot of people actually used the idea of "god" to explain things that science eventually explained. Besides, it would take a metric fuckton of those just to pay Uncle Sugar to change the plates. I'm not even remotely interested in paying to have paper backed by nothing repainted.

I'm just referring to the philosophical side.
SCOTUS will rule on this case, yet ignore any case concerned with the 2nd Amendment? You all see our problem here.
Ehh...been a long day and apparently I read something wrong. If it's just simply rejecting to hear the case, good. The SCOTUS rejected hear the case! That is not a ruling is it? Just as they have rejected hearing 2A cases, that is not a ruling! A ruling is final.
An official reject is a basically a ruling that states that the lower court ruling stands. It official. It’s definitive. It cannot be brought back up.The SCOTUS rejected hear the case! That is not a ruling is it? Just as they have rejected hearing 2A cases, that is not a ruling! A ruling is final.
And the people who get all bent out of shape about it are the ones who claim it's all a fantasy anyway.Funny that there are people that think an issue like this is important!
If they're right, and it's really all fiction, then what harm does it do to humor the theists.
The harm is that some people do belive that unfounded nonsense, and those that do use their beliefs to dictate laws, rights, education and so much more in this country that made it clear it has no place. And the people who get all bent out of shape about it are the ones who claim it's all a fantasy anyway.

What's weird is that Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. I wonder how many will have their same feelings on the issue when they become the majority in a few decades.Just ask the Sharia. What do they do to people who refuse to bow down to their fantasy?
What happened when women in Salem refused to bow down to fantasy?
There are still far too many instances where people are discriminated against because they don't follow a specific religion. Just read some of the posts on FB regarding how everyone MUST swear on a Bible to be allowed to occupy a Federal position.
But they keep on pushing for it. Someday they'll realize their mistake when a religion not their own takes control, and they've set all the pieces in place for that religion to steal power legitimately.
Glad to see SCOTUS spends time on the important shit

If they ever vote to replace "In God we trust" with "Allah Akhbar" on the money, what's printed on the money will be the least of our worries, and anyone spending any time fighting it is directing their effort at the wrong battle. What's weird is that Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world.
