Newsmax commentator just said it was tossed by the Supreme court "at least temporarily." WTF does that mean? Is there an appeal process and this isn't over? Also, can states just do what the want anyway regardless of this decision?

The vote was 6-3 for the business mandate and 5-4 for the healthcare workers mandate. Roberts and Kavanaugh joined libs in keeping mandate for federally funded healthcare workers. Thomas, Alito, Barrett and Gorsuch didn't want the mandates for anyone.

NEVER work for the government. I was offered a government opportunity once by someone. It would have been contracting with government agencies. I declined to even go down that route because I know they will strip me of my freedoms. I will never work for them.

Wants to compete with NYC. I don't see it flying here in Upstate. All this nonsense has done enough damage... If that happens, I sure as heck won't be staying here for very long.

Should the petitions for writs of certiorari be denied, this order shall terminate automatically. In the event the petitions for writs of certiorari are granted, the order shall terminate upon the sending down of the judgment of this Court,” the court concluded in a 6-3 decision.
The Supreme Court’s decision stays President Joe Biden’s order at least until the Sixth Circuit can reach a decision on the case. The Daily Wire was the first in the country to file a lawsuit challenging the mandate, arguing that Biden’s order is illegal on constitutional and administrative grounds. Government attorneys have argued that the order is a necessary emergency measure to protect the unvaccinated from COVID-19.

Depends on which state you live in. In NY, employers are free to do what they want. However, you do get certain employers that look out for the employees rights, or have unions that do. I know a majority of employers here in Upstate NY don't like to dabble in people's personal beliefs - they want you to come to work and do your job and leave.
I'll add, they also don't want the extra headache of COVID cards, personal health info/choices, etc. They want you to be productive at work with less work for management.

My employer made vaccines a condition of employment for management only. Everyone else was at the mercy of OSHA and the courts.
