I had a chance to shoot one of these this past winter. They are sweet little pocket pistols and accurate for what they are. I would love to pick one up as a backup gun.

I want to get a pistol chambered in 32 NAA (not 32 ACP) but these seem to be the only guns out of the box to be able to shoot that caliber. All the other guns have to have some kind of barrel conversion :(

The originals were made to shoot only one brand of ammo, Winchester, and a specific load at that, wonder if these are the same?

If you notice - they have no sights - as the originals. The original maker was often quoted - " Sights, you don't need any damn sights, - you stick it in their face and pull the trigger."

Yeah, and those little airweight .357 J frames are renown for being some of the most punishing handguns you can shoot too.
With the Seecamp you don't have a lot to hold onto. I put a couple mags through one once and my trigger finger began to bleed from the trigger guard rocking sharply into it.
Whether the .380 Seecamp or little .357 snubbies these are guns you hope you don't use. They are like airbags I suppose.

I looked into the Seecamp. Read reports of finicky ammo, and shitty reload times with that magazine release. The LCP 2 handles recoil well and reloads just as fast as any semi auto at just slightly bigger.

Both will fit in a pocket undetectable. The LCP 2 is a better choice. There comes a point when too small is too small.

A gun like the Seecamp isn't intended for reloading in the heat of the moment. It's a close contact empty the mag into the attacker and the threat is either neutralized or your screwed because they guy is already on top of you, no time for a reload. Also a Seecamp is something of a prestige gun. The LCP is a tool. The Seecamp is almost like a fancy watch.
You get a Seecamp because you think they are cool.

I almost bought one in a gun shop but it wasn’t in .380. So I’m gathering that the company has traded hands? Wonder if a NAA would be a better, albeit slightly bigger, bet.

Seecamps developer - owner - it was a one-man, garage sized shop, stopped operations quite a while back - they commanded a premium price because the waiting time for one was quite long. This production has to be a 'reincarnation' of the original.

Ah, I see. Then I also wonder if this new production is up to snuff. The machining and fit of the originals were excellent.

The originals were hard to get. Back then they were about the only game in town for a small quality police backup gun. Could be a big seller now. I just wish they would put some sights on them now. Small sights would work just anything...

I got a Seecamp 380 years back. 15 months from time of order til I had it. And I paid a bit more than what they sell for now. It's usually what I throw in pocket when I have to go somewhere in a suit. I cringe whenever I shoot it because it sucks to shoot. They are great little guns that fill a niche, but in today's market, there are plenty of other options to consider before dropping that much on a pocket pistol that shouldn't be your 1st choice of carry. Just my 2 cents

The company moved from CT to MA.

I don't know how many former employees stayed on.

The founder was an elite German Soldier on the Eastern Front, who came to America and became an American Citizen.

He avoided cameras due to a gruesome facial injury from a Russian Soldier's Bayonet, and his life was saved only by a last second shot into the Russian with his pistol.

That experience convinced him of the need for a very small, last-ditch firearm.

The .32 is Mass legal, which entails passing an excruciating durability test.

The .38 is not Mass legal. As I understand it, the manufacturer is unsure if it would pass, and so declines paying for the expensive test needed.

I want a little stainless steel .25 ACP for no reason other than when I was a kid my dad had one for under cover work and I fell in love with it. It was a POS. He gave it to a friend of mi es dad. I’ve been wondering if he still has that gun kicking around. I’d like to have it back for no good reason other than sentimental.
I don’t even remember the brand and neither does my dad. It was stainless with I’m sure fake pearl grips. I always loved it.

I think it does. Even on a last-ditch gun that you just stuffed into your pocket because you're running somewhere you should have the ability to reload in case your five or six shots are spent or you have a malfunction. That European mag release is a joke. It was put there to build a gun cheaper.

There are .25 ACPs I'm similar size that have a proper mag release.
