None of the guns I own have ever comitted a crime. Not the black ones, not the stainless ones, not the camoflage ones, not the ones in patriotic colors, not even the old fashioned blued ones with wooden stocks. Bolt action, break action, lever action, pump action or auto-loader, it doesn't matter. No gun commits a crime. The person weilding it makes that decision.

I believe the US is one of the only remaining countries with freedom of speech. Most of the west used to have it. In recent times they have incorporated hate speech laws, which cannot coexist with freedom of speech because what is freedom of speech except to say things others find offensive? That is it wholly, part and parcel. Canada no longer has freedom of speech. Neither does much or most of Europe. Many lust and thrive on being able to curtail what others do, and once they make a new law they go onto the next one like a cancer.

I built an AR chambered in .204 Ruger that, as much as I HATE it, is NYSAFE compliant. I built it specifically for hunting early and late season coyotes. While there is no snow on the ground, night vision scopes rule when hunting predators. It is nearly impossible to mount a modern night vision scope on anything other than a modern flat top style rifle. I have NEVER done a "mag dump" with it, and I don't think the local coyote population thinks I look cool no matter what I'm wearing or shooting. Fortunately, most of the coyote population never even knows I'm there.
