While Republicans in the House are pushing legislation to roll back the jumbled federal oversight of firearm suppressors, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) says she is ready to fight efforts to make “deadly gun silencers” easier to acquire.
On January 9, Representatives Jeff Duncan (R-SC-3) and John Carter (R-TX-31) introduced the Hearing Protection Act. This bill points to the hearing benefits of hunting and shooting with suppressors, and it also reduces the cumbersome acquisition process for the devices by removing them from the purview of the National Firearms Act (NFA).

They banned them years ago, they don't have to do anything. Pl 265 already bans suppressors under state law. Even if this passes, which I hope it does, we are still fucked, as usual.

I'm aware of that. If the law somehow negates state law, they will make sure we can't attach them. Any way it goes, I have zero faith we'll see them here.

Threaded barrels, fore and pistol grips, adjustable stock and removable magazines. These are just "ergonomic" features that have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with public safety. Liberal gun-grabbers (in some states) have won one of many battles against our gun rights. Liberals control the Media, the Message and the Mind.
Common sense, truth and logic is not their way.

The only way we (freedom loving) gun owners can counter gun-grabber is to introduce to neutral people on the fence to guns.
We have to take newbies to the gun range. Show them how to shoot. (of course w/ a mild caliber .22lr)(.380) . I'm 78% sure they will enjoy themselves or at least not be so intimidated by guns. That's how it starts.
