We were talking before about fitting this in the ar15 right?
The 6mm-250 does not fit.
Another problem is that it needs a large bolt face but if you find the bolts and eztensions then the 6mmbr or a 6mm dasher will work great. Socom bolts cannot be used due to the higher pressures required for these rounds.
If you chamber with a socom bolt and load lets say 6br at lower pressures it dedeats the purpose.
A br case like any other wide case will stack up to 6 rounda in a 7.62x39 10 round mag.
The dimension restrictions require some type od trade off all the time, right?

For that one I'm just thinking along fantasy ideal infantry rifle lines.

Wildcats suck balls. They are totally useless for useful applications. There is nothing they can do that . .223 or .308 cannot do.

For me its for hypothetical ponderings, for others that actually load them like @meketrefe I imagine its about the joy of tinkering.

Some cats are so good that they become commercial cartriges.
Examples: 7mm-06, 35 whelen gives magnum power on a budget, 7mm-08 now commercial outperforms the 6.5 calibers and its parent the 308 at everything.
My 35 gunner gives me big game hunting on a 16" upper.
The list goes on....

Are you really gonna do some 6mm wildcat loads then? I would be most facinated by your findings. I am as obsessed with 6MMs as you are your 7MMs.

This is going the same place as all the other wildcat AR cartridges.

Nowhere. It will catch on in a few niche markets and people will wax poetically about its marginally improved performance over 5.56 and that will be it. Just like the whole host of AR wildcats before it.
