Sounds interesting and I’m 100% for it. It’s done responsibly and the FL football coach likely could have saved lives. Even if he didn’t take out the shooter he would have slowed him down and made him waiste ammo. That guys a hero I just wish he had the tools to save more lives.

I call bullshit to all of this. Let people arm themselves. Everyone has a right to self defense. Obviously kids can't and this program if good for primary education. But anyone that can legally carry should be allowed to, enough of this 2 tier system of those who can and those who are restricted.

Treat it like an air marshall. You don't know which employees are armed.

I would only want school employees armed, that WANT to be armed. I think forcing them all to be armed as a shitshow waiting to happen. however maybe in any given school 5-10% of the employees there are mentally and physically capable to handle guns and want to carry them to protect the children would be a game changer.

This is not about forcing anyone to be armed. I don’t think anyone that’s not comfortable with a gun should have one. It’s about giving people an option and a good one to save some lives. This security guard/football coach gave his life to save kids. If he had a gun he could have done a lot more.

I agree make it a secret on who’s armed.

I know a few of my kids teachers would be just fine armed. The one was in the military and saw combat in desert storm another is an nra instructor. The others I have no clue about. Some retired cops are the security guards there, but they refuse to carry guns in my mind they are useless.

what about allowing them to carry at school ?? they know gun's .. what there for ... all the rules ... maybe if there 16 , 17 , 18 and its up to them .. no one is forced it; would be totally up the kid and parents with many talks and then the parents ok ..

what was it at that school .. JROTC or something like that .. what if they could carry ??

i know the first question that's going to be asked .. age to carry a pistol ... so change it to the age of consent or raise the age of consent to 21
