Shield 8 round mag fix.

I have heard how the 8 rounder extension collar can work itself loose when carrying it and possibly cause difficulties when loading. I was thinking of trying a few beads of RTV silicone to fix it in place, but not to the base plate I know that much. Any one else come up with other/better solutions?

I havent had any issues so far with mine. I carry with the 8 round in the gun so I can drop the 8 and load the 7 easily with no worries.
I always make sure the collar is down with one hand while loading the 8 round.
Ill be interested in these responses.

I watched a video illustrating that with the 8 rounder in the Shield's grip is slightly longer than a Glock 19's grip. If I can conceal that then I'll just carry my PPQ. The Shield will be my light clothing/deep concealment gun.
