Dear Chairs,
We have some very good news that is shocking the political landscape in New York.
A new poll has Marc trailing Cuomo by ONLY 3 POINTS!
The poll shows us that Marc only trails by 3 points in a head to head match up. And in a 5-way race Cuomo's lead shrinks to 1 point. Either way, in a head to head or a multiple candidate race we are now in a dead heat.
Other poll numbers look good for Marc as well:
· Marc leads Cuomo with at or near 50% in all regions outside of New York City including Long Island and Suburbs.
· Marc is registering 26% in NYC outperforming previous republican candidates with 2 months to go.
· Marc has large leads among independents in all geographic regions:
o Long Island: 64% - 30%
o Suburbs: 61% - 23%
o Capital Region: 45% - 38%
o Central NY: 51% - 35%
o Western NY: 49% - 32%
· Marc leads by +17 among Hispanic voters.
· He leads by +3 among Asian voters.
· He leads in key 18-39 and 40-54 age brackets.
We also see the “Anybody but Cuomo” sentiment is growing and getting worse for Cuomo. He is in a total tailspin. His numbers have steadily declined since polling on this race began.
Cuomo’s unfavorable rating has now dropped below President Trump’s statewide and more than half of New Yorker’s now feel New York is on the “wrong track” under Cuomo’s leadership.
53% of likely voters statewide believe it is time to give a new person a chance over re-electing Cuomo (32%).
Cuomo corruption is also taking a big toll on Andy’s numbers:
· 58% of likely voters are less likely to vote for Cuomo due to the recent convictions and upcoming sentencing of key members of the Cuomo administration.
· 46% of likely voters believe Cuomo is responsible for the corruption in his administration.
· Marc leads by +22 among likely voters who believe Cuomo is responsible for corruption in his administration.
This is great news for the campaign and for all New Yorkers. Momentum is on our side! Please help to spread the word and let everyone know that this race is real and Marc is going to WIN!
No longer can anyone say there isn’t a chance or Cuomo can’t be beat. The writing is on the wall.
