Shot 22LR out to 200yrds

What is "DOPE"? I know the 22lr is capable of long range. Might have to look into a class like this.
Appleseed has a class teaching scope holds, dopes and ballistics stuff? I gotta take one of those.

Dope is the balistic performance of your particular rifle & ammo combination. Bullet drop, scope settings, etc.

Which .22 ammo were you using?
@ArmedCorgi you are in Rensselaer County right? Our fall Appleseed Shoot is sold-out at this time at Sara Spa Rod & Gun Club in Greenfield Center about 6 miles north of Saratoga Springs. We host two of these a year ( Spring and Fall) for about 10 years now.
The shooting is done at 25 meters standing, sitting/kneeling and prone at the AQT target
The course of fire is as shown on this target ( 40 rds in 4 mins ) A 210 or better is a Rifleman score ( bottom line is doubled) After a student feels comfortable with this we can move to our 100/200 yard range for what we call KD ( known distance) a lot of fun with a 22lr!

Lobbing .22 at longer ranges is fun. I've never run it out to 200 yards though. My furthest without a scope is 140sh yards at a 10 inch gong. Things get really interesting on a gusty day.

The MOA goes to hell, but my range has 200 yards and it is fun holding way over with 22 because you can fire and then clearly see the dust kick up a moment later due to how slow the bullet is going.

I'll have to look into that event then. It sounds like fun. Is it with scope or open sights? I have a Remington 597 heavy barrel with a 1.5x12 scope.
Scope or irons GTG! 597 will work just fine, you will need four 10 mags a shooting mat or blanket will work too, a GI sling.

the Hornady online calculator was spot on!
i used Eley target (yellow box) standard velocity 40g/1080fps, put in the variables and i was amazed.
at 200yds bullet drop was about 59", so if you have a mil-Dot or some marked up reticle you are golden!
(i am a huge Lover of peep sights and can use them well, but Dont know if i could pull this off so easily with them)

Sounds like a case for a 20 MOA base on a .22 to me. I've read that the ballistics of .22 at 100 yards is similar to 800 to 1000 with a .308 - supposed to be an excellent exercise for reading the wind. 200 has to be a real challenge.
A 20 MOA base wouldn't hurt. I have to dial about 7.5 mils for 200yards. My scope runs out at 7 with a 50 yard zero.

That was a target I found online but it looks like down 1 on the Sitting/Kneeling stage, so I would score it a 249?
