Shot an Appleseed

It was 2hrs from home but it was worth the 8hr drive over the weekend. Had a BLAST..~600rounds of 22lr + we got to shoot a couple of the instructors’ rifles. It was my first time shooting a 223 & a 308 and a bolt action to boot...I AM HOOKED.

I want to do an Appleseed shoot too. For a long time now. It would be great if some of us were willing to meet up for one in PA. I got a regular schedule now so I can't travel as far as I used to in my free time.

I hate to rain on the parade here, but your sitting position is for people who are out of shape or too old. Since you are neither, you need to shoot cross legged or cross ankle position.

No parade rained on: Hard to make out with the pixelation but that yellow/brown smudge is my right sole. I’m trying my best to do the Tubb sitting position as described in his book.

It looked like opened leg position, lol. Try the conventional cross legged and cross ankle before Tubb's hybrid. Tubb has a different body shape, his position is a compromise. Every shooter is unique, but one always starts with what works for most and adjusts latter if needed.

I do! I’m just waiting for approval from my lady boss. Sorry I forgot to tell you the Appleseed was the same weekend as the practice match at your club, I wouldn’t have missed it otherwise.
