If you're part of an armed militant group or a terrorist storming and occupying a nation's capitol building, you should expect to be shot in the neck.Oh, and PS, if you're part of a crowd that starts trying to burn down buildings, maybe a few pepperballs should be expected.
I'm not aware of Mr. Finicum's politics or his reasons for his last stand. The fact that he was armed and apparently ready to martyr himself speak for the reasons behind why he was shot. Not sure what soapbox he was standing on when he died. All due respect to whatever legacy I'm naively tarnishing.
I am aware of what generated a couple years' worth of general protesting, with the typical scum taking the opportunity to loot and riot and dismantle the agenda of the actual protesters. And I am aware of the insurrectionists' intentions as they stormed the capitol building, beat a man to death, and made pointed attempts to locate particular government officials.
I'm comparing civil unrest to an attempt at a coup. There's a stark difference. One results in property loss. The other results in a subversion of our entire government. You are bringing armed revolutionaries into the conversation; who decided take up arms against the Fed for reasons only fathomable to themselves. Sure, they are "right wing" but they're also armed, entrenched, and out for blood. Kind of detached from "we're going to chant about police brutality while these idiots start burning shit because they're idiots."
