Saw someone comment on one of my other "law/scotus" posts. Having to do with if the safe act was struck down and what they might buy first...

Got me thinking to myself.. hmm say the safe act (and subsequently New Yorks Post 1994 modified AWB, you know the thing most of the fudds and boomers in New York didnt care about because they could still kinda have some things, which honestly I am 100% convinced lead to the passing and standing of the safe act).....

Back on track, obviously I would snag up many standard glock 19 and 17 magazines and CZ p07 and 09 magazines for carry, some 30 round ar and ak mags because well why not....

But for big purchases. I'm thinking I would try to get my hands on a Valmet, A Galil, another VZ58, and send my saiga off to get completely worked over by a top notch company.. followed by a CZ Bren2, and build a decent Ar15 but that's nothing special.

Just for fun, what about any of you, any wishes that if if if (and I know I'm acting like many of the dreamers I laugh at) something happened in our favor, would be your first purchase and taste of freedom?

Now would you do one lower with multiple uppers or multiple dedicated guns.

I'm thinking for myself 2 AR-10 lowers, one more for bench or long range shooting. And one fore fun shit. Then build a few different caliber uppers, and then same concept with the 15.

And depending on how far things went. Add an AR15 lower and AR10 lower to my pistol license

Honestly the only thing currently on the NFA roster I could afford that I care about would also be suppressors.

Yes an SBR would be hella sick, but with the arm braces out now, meh not worth the paperwork/wait/$200stamp and would also still be able to cross state lines with out added issues or paperwork

1 PCC AR in each main caliber i.e. 9mm, 40S&W, 45 ACP. If I could find the parts I would add 357 Sig to the list.
1 takedawn PCC AR in all the above calibers.
Probably a takedown AR.
A belt fed AR with binary trigger.
AR10's- Generic one- one setup for precision one.
AR in 6.8 setup for hunting.
AR in 5.56 setup for precision shooting.
Lastly an AR in 6.5 creedmoore and one 7mm-08.

I would also setup to for reloading 5.56 more efficiently.

The best part about all this and the AR, is many of that could even be had with just one lower. I cant remember the AR build that easily swapped from belt to mag fed, MAC did a video on it.
And at that point, in legit lower, and the echo trigger then just build uppers

Valid point but I think I would go with dedicated lowers. But my guess is I will never get to find out.

Its hard to decide. I'm 50/50 cause a good lower could do all, but dedicated lowers would be better

Hmmm....I don't like to build castles in the sky, but if things went our way and the safe act and the 2000 AWB were struck down I would be tempted to build a 9mm AR pistol. That would also depend on the status of PL400 because it still might be a pain to do but hopefully PL400 would be gone as well.

I'd like to get an M14

I'd definitely get some 20rnd mini14 mags, 20 and 30 rnd AR mags, standard glock 23 and 19 mags maybe a happy stick.

There would certainly be way more things that I'd want than I could afford.
I would still want out of NY.

The *first* thing I would buy is legit furniture for my existing AR's. Drop in folding stock for the 10/22. Followed by standard cap magazines for everything.

In the costs more arena, AR 9 pistol preferably suppressed. A Galil. I'd thread and suppress my 300 winmag and quite possibly the .308 patrol rifle.

In the costs even more arena- MP-5SD.

What would I buy?
For me it's a matter of maybe moving back to NY to be with my family. But the Sullivan act and taxes still serve as barriers to that. NY would have to adopt a shall issue carry permit scheme that takes less than a month and not require a permit to purchase or possess a handgun. Along with the elimination of any 94 AWB type stuff. And become an NFA state.
So never in otherwords.
