The P320 going off without the trigger being pulled was an actual issue which Sig even had to correct.
That was an issue with being dropped from a sufficient hight and landing at a certain angle that allowed the trigger to continue moving rearward under its own inertia after the rest of the pistol came to a stop upon striking the ground. SIG initially lightend the trigger component to reduce its inertia to a level insufficient to fire tge pistol, a bandaid fix IMO. Subsequently SIG made further modifications to the FCG components, specifically its geometry to further reduce the above risks. Personally I think they should have also added a trigger dongus as well.But... how was it shown that the gun didn't go off while in the holster? The P320 going off without the trigger being pulled was an actual issue which Sig even had to correct. I wonder how they proved that that didn't happen.
