I'd like to see more about the ammo too.
And I'd like to see specs, I thought CHF chrome lined barrels were a prerequisite for military arms proposals and that SIG lacked that manufacturing capability?
Doesn't look particularly light either but a look from a single angle can be deceiving. That said any weight naked over 7lbs cannot be said to be "light".
Not suprised about the MLok handguard. After Crane ran their test anointing that system as superior and the subsequent appearance of Mlok on the HK CSASS submission it was only a matter of time before extended, free float Mlok hanguards became the standard. Good, that is the better way to do things.
For me though I will always have a preference for the original Stoner Internal Gas Piston system for its simplicity, accuracy and lightweight. I presume the SIG rifle is a short stroke gas piston AR derivative?

To be clear I wish SIG all the best in their successful bid to supply a major military contract and I hope they money they receive can go towards improved QC on all their products.
I would love to see SIG's return to former glory.
Hey SIG, use some of the money to unfuck your P365 line so Incan but one with confidence!!
And yes I would be very interested in a civilian version of your new 6.8 rifle!............ Once the ammo is cheap enough to buy in bulk.
