Ok, they're hating the FOV. By what some of the guys were saying it does sound real bad. It's too bad because the videos show really nice quality views.
Not happy with wraith
Just got the wraith and while the image is good, I can't get over the field of view. Way too zoomed in compared to my photon xt. I have been completely satisfied with the photon with the exception of little adjustment to sight in. I had to shim scope to get it sighted in on my ar15. Another...www.predatormastersforums.com
Lol I know what you mean. I've been watching more thermal videos while watching NV videos, and really like thermal. It's easy for me to put them out of my mind though as I'll never have enough money for thermal.

Well I'm a step closer. The Encore has been sold locally, should be paid for by the end of the week, and my welder is supposed to be bought tomorrow.
I see theres 2 places selling the referb Photon on Amazon, Sellmark and TXFactory Outlet. Thinking I'll go with Sellmark seems they only deal with optics and shooting rigs. Also going to spring for the 3yr warentee and some sort of power bank. Hopefully I can get this all done before season ends.

Sellmark is basically the manufacturer. When I bought mine from sightmark it transferred right to sellmark.

The Photon hasn't shipped yet but the mount shipped out today. Everything I've ever ordered from Amazon has always shipped FedEx, so I give my home address. Check tracking today and won't ya know it says USPS. I have a po box, no mailbox. This is going to be a clusterfuck, my po box is in Whitney Point, home address is Marathon. Marathon post office will likely try to return it to sender! They always give me shit if i get something coming there with no mail box.
The small town I live in has a post office where all the mail is delivered and you go pick it up from a box dedicated to you (a PO Box). For 11 years they never gave 2 craps if you had a PO Box number written on your mail or on a package because everyone knew everyone. Now some city chick that thinks she knows it all and has now become the Postmaster down there is confused and cant believe this town has never used PO Box addresses.
If you go and pick up a package and you dont have a PO Box number written on it,,,,she comes out and gives you the third degree and a huge lecture. She didn't realise a lot of us country folk dont put up with that shit. I ripped her a new one when she did it to me, right in front of 5 other people. She choked on her words so fast and began apologising.
I told her I was sorry but I dont go for being yelled at by someone I dont know and will do my best to have all deliveries marked appropriately.
She apologised again and thanked me,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,then we began talking about life in general. LoL
Your best bet is to get in touch with someone at the Post Office and explain what happened and see if they could hold the package for you.

The post office where we have our po box is pretty forgiving about addresses not being the same, since we moved to Marathon is when the troubles started. We had a couple packages in the past couple years mistakenly be sent to home address and not having a mail box at the driveway the mail carrier wont deliver. I understand that. But the office in town last time said they wont hold packages anymore seems we don't have a box, they'll return to sender. I hate that office. Not like it's a big city either, just a little hick town really.
I did find something last night on the USPS site that I can try to have the package intercepted and delivered to my po box, but that's another $15 plus extra shipping charge! WTF? So a cheap $20 mount would end up costing me roughly $45! It would sure be nice if they specified what carrier they planned on using!
Gonna try to call the local office and see if I can talk them into holding it for me. I hate dealing with them!

Shipping update on the Photon, supposed to have it Thursday. But no mount till the 1st. Have to call my gunsmith and borrow some mounts from him.

Wont ya know, mount showed up today, Photon wont be here till Monday. Gotta find me a dovetail to picatinny adapter and I'll be in business to shoot rats until next yote season.
