Different Drummer

I remember the infamous "tannerite day" I had been shooting my SKS and there was someone there with a brand new Saiga. I am sure most remember him, nice guy from someplace north of Plattsburgh. I forget his name. Hasn't been around in a long time. He let me shoot the Saiga. I know I am probably going against the grain here but I much preferred the SKS. The Saiga felt "Boxy " to me and I really disliked the stamped steel compared to the Milled steel of the SKS. The Saiga just did not feel right in my hands. Didn't feel solid to me. Accuracy? Well, I did not seem be having any issues with the accuracy of the SKS that day.
I had the Kivari trigger work done on my Chinese SKS and I wish everyone could experience it. It is nothing short of amazing and establishes positive sear engagement for a safer rifle as well.
Different strokes for different folks I guess.
