Is that an android App?HuntFishNY
I do have an Android phone. I downloaded it on Google Play. Truthfully I am not sure if it's also available on iPhones. Seems it would be a huge oversight on the part of NYS if it wasn't.Is that an android App?
It's available on iOS as well. On the Pocket Ranger app, it says that the HuntFishNY app is being updated and will be available Sept 1.Is that an android App?

It's useful to me. I can report my deer and turkey takes almost instantly. If your phone is a constant companion you always have it on you for fishing and hunting for license proof to show law enforcement. It works well enough. They've had a few updates so it works much faster than it used to. You can use it to purchase licenses.I looked at it briefly and only saw shitty reviews. You like it? I trust you more than 100% complete strangers.
It's not the best app in the world, but if you have your phone, you have your license on you, so that's a bonus. It's nice for me, for fishing, because I rarely carry my wallet on the boat, but always have my phone.I looked at it briefly and only saw shitty reviews. You like it? The no license part is really only beneficial for fishing and small game hunting.Just be aware @BDinPutnam , if you decide not to carry your license(s) cuz you have your phone,, you still need to have your tags on your person, and tag your game as required.
Exactly. The no license part is really only beneficial for fishing and small game hunting.

Up to you man. Dealers choice. I usually report after I tag, while I'm thinking of it. As I've aged, it's best to do anything while I'm thinking of it.Thanks guys.
Does it have access to your phone's location?
It sounds like for me it might not be worth it only because I do about 95% of my hunting at my house/land (the other at the pheasant preserve, that doesn't require a license). Last year I took my deer about 25 yards behind the wood shed and after filling out tags and dressing / hanging him up I just walked into the basement and went online to report.
Could certainly see how it would be handy for others though!
PS. No, no access to location. Thanks guys.

I hear ya. I plan all year long. Wife don't mind. She hunts too and loves venison. Guess whose primary responsibility it is to hunt and fill tags, after spending money planning and preparing all year. White man's burden my friend.Oh me too- it's part of the process. Tag and clean up / hang the deer, walk into garage / mud room room to clean me up, and then into the office to report. And then up the stairs for a whisky by the fire and a call to the butcher. Man is it November yet?!

Actually, it does if you allow it to. I down loaded the app and then disabled location access.PS. No, no access to location.
SweetCame home to my tags in the mail.
The only small bright side to being back in NY.
I'm mostly like the Irishman in BraveheartDo you mean to imply @SmallGameAddict is only 99% strange?
I unchecked the $5.00 habitat stamp and they said a required some thing or other is not in your cart and you need it or you can’t proceed or something to that effect. How? It's voluntary.
