Spotting scopes for casual range/sighting days

What's your take on these? I'm not looking at expensive ones, but more less, ones that are on sale/under a bill. I see 20-60, 25-75, etc and I'd like to know if anyone has one and how effective it is in spotting shots at 100-300y down range?

Are they all the same under $100? This won't get used a lot, maybe once a month, so I definitely don't want to waste a bunch of money. Do they focus or is it just like having a scope w/out a parallax adjustment? How well can you see individual hits?

You get the idea. If you have one and have taken pics with it, feel free to share. I really don't wanna buy something if it's gonna be a waste of money where I can't see the target clearly at 100y and decently at 200-300

i have this one, and you can clearly see impacts on steel or berms, up to and over 1k yards.

edit - the tripod sucks though. I picked up a much more stable one and is much better.

I have a Simmons 20-60x60 for my spotting scope. The only trouble I had with it was the tripod that came with it was crap, on 60 power the thing would shake so much the image would look like a blur. I got a 200 dollar camera tripod at a garage sale for 20 bucks a few years ago and that cured all the shakiness. I use it to spot 6.5mm holes in targets out to 400 yards.

I have a tripod since I do a bit of photography on the side, so that shouldn't be an issue. These scopes have the screw hole in the bottom for most tripod mounts?

This is what I got. Bushnell Trophy Xtreme. It more than the range you specified but its not too expensive and I find the clartity to be good enough to spot .223 holes at 200 yards. The included tripod is flimsy but adequate for bench work.

Not bad. The shorter range one is within budget, but the one you have is about 2x. Nice setup though
