There's gotta be tens of thousands in use without issue though right? Very common combo used by LE. I can't be the first person to discover this. It took me 10 minutes to figure it out. Where are all the people blowing their legs off?
Safariland makes great stuff. I feel that if they have to put out a statement showing that they know of the issue, that they would rectify it and make sure they have more of the holster come up around the trigger guard. It’s not much that would be needed to completely close any gap to the trigger guard. On this one it’s completely closed off...

I can honestly say that anyone that I know that has shot a pistol with a red dot mounted on it, they’ve always shot better with the red dot. It’s just more instinctual. You have less focal planes to worry about. Just put the dot on the target...done. You don’t have to worry about rear sight alignment, front sight alignment, keeping them aligned while superimposing them over the target. The dot is a much finer point of aim as well compared to the thickness of a front sight, which is nice when shooting longer distances. It’s all but guaranteed that you’ll shoot better with a red dot. Think about it in the context with rifles. What’s the difference? There isn’t, the rifle is just longer. Originally all they had were iron sights. But with the advancement of technology, they realized it’s beneficial for a red dot over irons.

Hell yea, I love that sling. I have to remember to get one for my hunting rifle before the start of the season.

Just because it's new, for the hell of it, I've been carrying my S&W 629 IWB in my Simply Rugged holster. I'm 5'7", 190 lbs and it doesn't print carried at 3. Definitely getting a bigger, but thin autoloader for EDC. Actually really considering an 8 rd S&W 627 with a 3" barrel and a red dot now. Something about double-action revolvers just makes me want to practice so much more than autoloaders.
