Now that’s a great ROI.Cost me a $10 raffle ticket.
Bought a new Glock today.
the good thing about buying Glocks is that most women can’t tell them apart, so the significant other has no clue when I bring home a new Glock
Now that sounds like a blast.View attachment 236136
won the cheap gun shoot today. I used a Ruger American ranch 5.56 with vortex crossfire II 4-12x scope using Winchester white box 55 grain. This was 20 shots at 100 yards within 15 minutes.
For those that don’t know my friends and I started doing a cheap gun shoot about a year ago as a way to have fun without breaking the bank. Rules are as follows: rifle must be centerfire and can not cost more than $500. Scope (not including rings) can’t be more than $250. Ammunition used must be either Winchester white box, PMC bronze or PPU brass cased. You can use a rest but it can’t cost more than $50 bucks. One must have receipts to prove cost of items. One must fire 20 shots in 15 minutes and targets must be at 100 yards.
the point is to have a competition that is affordable and accessible to all shooters that also tests skill in a timed setting. This way the competition is not dominated by any individual that simply has a bigger wallet. The prize is simply bragging rights.
Looks like a game wardens wet dream.
The items are price capped and the gun, rest and optic have to be store bought. So no buying a $5k rifle from a friend for a $1. Ammo is simply new factory ammo from the respective brands. It allows shooters who have low budgets to be able to take part and compete without being forced out simply by shooters with bigger budgets. It also is challenging because it forces one to be a better shoot with “cheap gear”. Kind of like competing in Glocks GSSF competition with stock Glocks. Keeps it fun and about the sport, and not about who can spend the most. Now that sounds like a blast.
Question is what if someone got a really good deal on something? I had a gander mountain close by me and many some stuff was up to 60% off. I must have spent $5,000 in that month or two they were closing. I love the idea.
That's a collectable now. They shut down their USA factory a little while ago.

ya, good place to store your guns from children, I had one of these at my camp, bolted it to the wall. I wouldn't leave anything expensive in there.View attachment 236642 This guy was marked down at Tractor Supply for $150. So I took it home with me. I should have left it at Tractor Supply and kept my money.
I may store some reloading supplies in it. I’m not really sure what to do with it yet.ya, good place to store your guns from children, I had one of these at my camp, bolted it to the wall. I wouldn't leave anything expensive in there.
I have two just for ammo. If you lube up and adjust the locking mechanism there not too bad.I may store some reloading supplies in it. I’m not really sure what to do with it yet.
