More "what did you get...done... today.
Did the "flush" mag mod to the Howa mini. The over-sized 5 round magazine now holds 4 but is a much cleaner, and tighter, fit. Feeds and functions fine. Installed the DIP bottom metal, redesigned mag release and bottom metal for the mag.

Howa mini action in 6.5 Grendel. 20" heavy barrel. Picked up the barreled action from Brownell's. B&C stock. DIP bottom metal, mag release and mag floor plate. Flush fit mag modification
I thought about getting a furnace but idk what to do with the end product lol. It looks funI got (made) this on Sunday. Just in time for Halloween, it's the start of a 10/22 ghost gun.
This one is kind of a proof of concept type of thing. I'm not sure I'll use this casting (its got some defects), but now I know I can do it.
I also melted some brass to see if I could do it. It worked! Fun fact - dud primers go off when you try and melt them.
